  1. 1. Massachusetts Zone 5

    2. I start my perennial seeds outside in little mini greenhouses made out of plastic coffee cups in January. They germinate right outdoors and do not have to be hardened off in spring since they are already accustomed to the outdoors. Spring seeds are sown directly outdoors when there is no further chance of frost, around May 1-31.

    3. Roses, hydrangea, cosmos, zinnia, black-eyed susan, purple coneflower, foxglove, astilbe, hollyhock, morning glory, sweet pea, bleeding hearts, all herbs, iris, pansies, impatiens, sedum, phlox, globe thistle, delphinium, balloon flower, sweet pea, clematis, etc.

    4. My entire yard is a garden, no grass. My garden was featured in May's issue of Cottages & Bungalows this month.
